Thank you to everyone who attended the James Ruse Agricultural High School Union meeting on Wednesday 8th December 2004.
I know many members would like to attend but could not make it at the chosen time, however, it is impossible to pick a time which is convenient to everyone, so we do our best taking into account when Michael Quinlan, Robin Legge and school facilities are available.
Minutes are available below.

Achievements for 2004.
Robin reported that a number of year reunions were held and were successful.
Edward gave us a brief run-down on the new Web Site and thanked everyone for their articles and photos. We still need more Year Contacts to help maintain their year. Carmen thanked Edward for all his hard work.
Everyone present would like to see the Mentor program continue and expand. It is currently in the hands of the school Careers Adviser, Darrel Deigan.
Events for 2005.
Various suggestions were made including a Tour of the School (a lot has changed over the past few years); City to Surf team; including the local community in organised activities. Edward will construct an Information Pad on the Web Site for further ideas from ex-students.
It was decided to hold a “Back to Ruse” day on Saturday 5th March starting at 10.30 am. Robin to organise current students to act as tour guides and approach the Cadet Unit or Interact to sell sausage sandwiches & drinks as a fund raising exercise. Also check the possibility of selling school memorabilia eg. Mugs, spoons, letter openers etc. All ex-students, their families and staff (current & past) to be invited.
Carmen will attend a School Assembly or organise another opportunity to address Year 12 students during the year to promote the ex-students union. |
